In this issue, the dominant theme is our common ground — the parks of Lowertown, past and present. Much of our community’s history is reflected by, and took place in, our parks. There can be no doubt that our parks have played and will continue to play an important role in the social life of Lowertown.
The part they play in our community continues to evolve in accordance with our likes and needs. They may not be a place for large community gatherings as they were in the past, but the sound of children at play can still be heard and they remain a place where one can find peace and solitude from a busy world.
