The Pagé family has been associated with the Ottawa Fire Department (OFD) since 1897. Between Captain Édouard (Edward) Pagé, Chief Armand Pagé, and Captain Robert Pagé, there has been over a century of service covering three generations, which ended in 2003.
All family members were born and raised in Ottawa’s Lowertown. The Pagé family has contributed to the City of Ottawa as firefighters with dedication and honour. It all began with Edward Pagé in 1897 in a house located at 102 Earnscliffe Avenue in Ottawa (now Global Affairs, Sussex Drive). Edward and his wife Célina Decosse had two sons and one daughter; the middle child was Armand Pagé who was to follow in his father’s footsteps by joining the OFD in 1927. Later on, Armand and his wife Simone (née Gravelle) took up residence on Bolton Street and had two daughters and two sons. Robert took after his dad Armand and continued the tradition by joining the OFD in 1968. His last two homes were on Bolton and Bruyére Street.
In celebration of the Pagé family`s dedicated service to the OFD, an oak tree will be planted in Bordeleau Park.

L’histoire de la famille Pagé au sein du Service des incendies d’Ottawa (SIO) a commencé en 1897 et s’est poursuivi jusqu’en 2003. Les trois générations du capitaine Édouard (Edward) Pagé, du chef Armand Pagé et du capitaine Robert Pagé comptent pour un siècle de service.
Tous les membres de la famille étant nés et ayant grandi dans la Basse-Ville d’Ottawa, la famille Pagé a contribué à la ville d’Ottawa en tant que pompiers avec dévouement et honneur.
Tout a commencé avec Édouard Pagé en 1897 dans une maison située au 102, avenue Earnscliffe à Ottawa (maintenant Affaires mondiales, promenade Sussex). Édouard et son épouse Célina Decosse ont eu deux fils et une fille; le deuxième enfant, Armand Pagé allait, en 1927, suivre les pas de son père. Plus tard, Armand et son épouse Simone (née Gravelle) ont établi résidence sur la rue Bolton et ont eu deux filles et deux fils. Robert, fils d’Armand, a continué la tradition en se joignant au SIO en 1968. Il a vécu sur la rue Bolton et il a finalement élu domicile sur la rue Bruyère.
Un chêne sera planté dans le Parc Bordeleau afin de célébrer le dévouement et les années de service de la famille Pagé.
