Lowertown Legends project: Polly Drouin

The Lowertown Community Asso­ciation has submit­ted a nomination for Polly Drouin as a hockey athlete to the Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame. LCA sum­mer student Brendan Bowen researched Drouin for a heri­tage walking tour on North Dalhousie.

After a six-season, 160-game NHL ca­reer with the Mon­treal Canadiens, Drouin and his wife operated the La Salle Hotel on Dalhousie Street in the 1940s.
